AION 2 on Mac? Shadow PC Offers a Cloud Gaming Workaround

Mac players interested in AION 2 may have a way to try the upcoming MMORPG without installing Windows or buying a separate gaming PC. Shadow says its cloud PC can stream a full Windows desktop to a Mac, including Apple Silicon models, so players can install and run the Windows version remotely.

Shadow published its AION 2 guide on 18 September, ahead of the game’s planned global launch on 5 October 2026. The guide describes using Shadow PC to access the game through its Windows environment and stream it to a Mac.

There’s one detail players should keep in mind: Shadow says compatibility with AION 2’s anti-cheat system has not yet been confirmed. So while the cloud PC may offer a practical route for Mac users, it’s sensible to wait for confirmation from Shadow or the game’s developers before subscribing specifically for AION 2.

Could cloud PCs make more Windows-only games accessible on Mac? AION 2 may be an interesting test.
